Typically a balance of these characteristics is achieved appropriate to the application. Personal dosimetry is vital for safe working. A suggested combination for a two man radiography team is one radiation monitor, with one in reserve for emergencies, but with each man being issued with a direct read dosimeter such as the SV Bleeper and also an audio-visual bleeper such as the Roffey MkIII.
