Signs & Labels
There are many regulation sets that govern what you do, where you do it and how you do it. To ensure a safe environment not only for the radiographer but also other workers on site or members of the public, warning signs should be posted.
The use of these signs is dictated by the regulation set governing the practice you are carrying out and the majority of signs required are shown in the following section.
Controlled Area Sign Adhesive
A controlled area sign is required on each access to a location that has been declared a controlled area this sign is self adhesive.
I White
100 x 100mm White I Transport labels.
II Yellow
100 x 100mm Yellow II Transport labels.
III Yellow
100 x 100mm Yellow III Transport labels.
Type A Label
A small self adhesive label with teh words 'Type A' printed.
Vehicle Sign Adhesive
Radioactive material class 7 sign. Required when transport radioactive material on the public roads on the vehicle. This sign can also be attached to a container for shipping offshore.
Vehicle Sign Magnetic
Radioactive material class 7 sign. Required when transport radioactive material on the public roads.
