Meter Calibration

In order to ensure the safety of our customers and their employees we also offer a range of radiation monitoring instruments. These vital systems are available from both UK and US manufacturers and include:

We also provide a full test and calibration service that is traceable to national standards for the radiography industry. Where any repairs are necessary, these can be undertaken in our electronic workshop.

Wipe Testing

Wipe testing of sealed sources to test for any leakage or possible contamination must be performed at least every two years. Our highly trained engineers are qualified to provide this service. A wipe test kit can be dispatched through the postal service. This can allow a person to wipe their own source using careful instructions provided by Gilligan Engineering with the source remaining on the customers premises saving down time and transport costs. This wipe can be tested for radioactivity by the customer, again under careful guidance from Gilligan Engineering and returned to us for analysis.

Training Courses

Gilligan Engineering offer many training courses for the NDT industry. Our personally tailored courses allow an easy to understand environment and will aid in full compliance to all regulations imposed by governing bodies. All of our courses are constructed from our 30 years of experience in the industry and can be conducted on site or in our training facility in Northumberland in the north of England.
