Guide Tubes

We offer a new guide tubing created specifically for the Viking system. The guide tube attaches to the front of the Viking projector and lays out a path for the source holder (and therefore radioisotope) to follow. A Guide Tube has a standard length of 2m, although any length can be manufactured to suit your needs.

Viking guide tube is red in colour ensuring it will never fade into the background when used on site. It is also hard wearing and withstands dirt and fatigue better than its competitors. With a large bore and thin PVC sleeve tight bend radius can be safely used allowing for very good accessibility. The tubing also holds its form well showing less sag when carrying out radiographs.

A guide tube can be ordered as an extension tube or a terminated tube. An extension tube comes with female fittings on both ends and can be used for extended the length of guide tube using a connector supplied or using a detachable snout to make the extension tube into a terminated tube.

A terminated tube comes with an Aluminium snout permanently attached to one end.

We also offer Silicone coated guide tubes. The silicon coating is not as hard wearing as she PVC however that's where the shortfalls end. The Silicone coating allows ultimate pliability ensuring the tube stays exactly where you put it. More over whilst the silicone coating is not as hard wearing as PVC it does offer a greater heat and chemical resistance.
